Nivea Kitesurf World Cup Mykonos 2012

The PKRA will visit Mykonos Island, Greece during the 2012 season, and the dates have been tentatively set from May 30th to June 4th, 2012. This World Cup event will host the Freestyle discipline and bring together the best kiteboarders in the world for a new season on the World Tour.

Located in the southern part of Mykonos, Ftelia Beach is a hidden, undiscovered wind machine location; we can expect strong steady winds, 20 to 30 knots during this time of the year.

Windtrips the premier cruise-kitesurfing project in Greece will be there.  Grab this opportunity to watch first hand world-class athletes competing against each other in freestyle kitesurfing.

Sample itinerary of Windtrip to PKRA Mykonos, May 28th to June 5th, 2012

28/5 Athens– Paros
Departure from Athens to Paros. After a six hour journey we shall reach the port of Paroikia where we shall spend the night.

29/5 Paros-Pounda-Naxos.
Our destination is Pounda beach where the PKRA was held until 2009 for an all day kite session. Late in the evening we depart for Naxos where we shall spend the night.

30/5 Νaxos- Μikri Vigla- Μykonos:
Departing for Mikri Vigla for another full day kite session. Mykonos and the big event is our destination later in the afternoon where we shall spend the night.

31/5 Μykonos – Ftelia – Μykonos
Embarkation at Mykonos port to Ftelia beach for kite surf and of course to watch the preliminary PKRA games. Return to Mykonos port.

1/6 Μykonos - Renea  - Μykonos
Embarkation for Renea island for kite until late in the afternoon when we return to Mykonos.

2/6 Μykonos – Ftelia
The next few days are exclusively devoted to the PKRA World Cup.We shall spend the night at a near by port. The boat shall take us off the coast of Ftelia and our dinghy will carry you and your equipment ashore.

3/6 Ftelia
In the morning we head for the beach to watch the games followed by a kite session.

4/6 Ftelia – Athens
After we have watched the World Cup Finals in the evening and as soon all events are complete we sail for Athens.

5/6 Athens
After a nice breakfast on board our trip has ended, but we hope to see you again onboard another Windtrip session.
